London based German art photographer, Bettina von Zwehl is very well known for powerful and exquisite portraits made with a large-plate camera, presents in The New-York Historical Society’s series called “Meditations in an Emergency”. This artwork represents the victims of tragedy on Valentine’s Day, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas School in Parkland, Florida. Von Zwehl made 17 silhouettes portraits of anonymous New York City teenagers as death masks sculpted from life.
