Brisbane based photographic artist Margot Stewart has been a practicing artist since 2018. Stewart's varied studio based work encompasses themes of identity, femininity, place, the male gaze and the abject. Working in both photographic and film based mediums, Stewart creates intimate works that are deeply personal and relatable. Stewart is a published photographer, and has exhibited with Brisbane City Council’s “Botanica” public art exhibit, Verge Collective’s “Femme” Women in Photography exhibit and has shown in multiple group exhibitions. Alongside her photographic art practice, Stewart has worked as a freelance photographer since 2018. Specialising in advertising, interior design, commercial and wedding photography, Stewart has worked for clients such as Griffith University and Coral Homes.
