Aayushi Gupta is a visual and historical anthropologist based in Cambridge, UK. She trained as a photographer at the University of Edinburgh and was drawn to researching its various histories cross-culturally. She pursued a postgraduate at the University of Oxford to develop these interests, and now works at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge. She is an ardent supporter of increasing the representation of women and non-binary photographers in both the historiography of photography and the contemporary photo scene.
