The exhibition, which is taking place in Brooklyn Museum from August 23, 2018 till March 31, 2019 is called “Half the Picture: A Feminist Look at the Collection” featuring more than 100 museum artworks and more than fifty artists.

The series, which consists of Weems herself sitting at a kitchen table under a lamp. She tells the story of one woman’s life as seen through the intimate space of the kitchen, the stereotype sphere of women.
Half the Picture: A Feminist Look at the Collection is organized by Catherine Morris, Sackler Senior Curator, and Carmen Hermo, Associate Curator, Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.
